Notice to Bidders

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Incorporated Village of Muttontown will receive sealed bids for

Sanding and removal of snow from all roads owned and maintained by the Village of Muttontown for the Winter Season

Such sealed bids must be filed with the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, Village Clerk, 1 Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, New York 11791, PRIOR TO 11:00 AM, eastern standard time, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read, and the contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable.

Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Village Clerk, Incorporated Village of Muttontown, 1 Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, New York 11791. All bids must be sealed and submitted in a closed envelope. Specifications forms may be obtained at 1 Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, NY 11791, Monday through Friday, 9:30am-12:30pm. All bidders must complete all documents contained in the bid package.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check or certified check in the amount of $2,500.00, made payable to the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, as assurance that the bid is made in good faith.

Please be advised, the Incorporated Village of Muttontown reserves the absolute right to reject any and all bids. A bid or proposal submitted by a bidder who is not in full compliance with the provisions of the Village Code of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown at the time of submission will be denied. The Village will not accept bids from, nor award a contract to, any bidder who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Village that the bidder has sufficient experience and/or is financially able and organized to successfully comply with the requirements set forth herein.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to Section 4-408 of the Village Law of the State of New York, the annual financial report (AUD) for the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, County of Nassau for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2021 has been completed and is on file at the office of the Village Clerk/Treasurer at Village Hall, 1 Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, New York 11791 where it is available for inspection by any interested person Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM. Public Notice Notification of Tax Roll and Warrant

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the tax roll and warrant have been delivered to the

Village Clerk/Treasurer for collection of the taxes levied on such roll. The Treasurer will collect tax payments in person at Muttontown Village Hall, One Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, NY 11791 beginning June 1, 2021, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. through Thursday July 1, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payments received after July 1, 2021 are subject to 5% penalty for the first month and 1% per month thereafter pursuant to Real Property Tax Law § 1432.

Muttontown Amnesty Program

Village of Muttontown Announces Amnesty Program

The Reconciliation “Amnesty” Program will run until April 30, 2022 and will give residents an opportunity to legalize and maintain renovations, reconstruction and work performed without permits to their property. Residents who take advantage of this program will be responsible for a $1,000 surcharge and permit fees required without the imposition of penalties for doing the work without a permit.

SCAR Petitions

April 17, 2020

Updated Notice Regarding Small Claim Assessment Review Petition Filings:

In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the inability to file petitions with Nassau County by April 30th the Village of Muttontown has amended its filing requirements as follows:

  • The Village of Muttontown requires that one copy of the SCAR petition be filed with the Village via mail postmarked by April 30th. If you would like a copy stamped received and returned include a copy and self-addressed stamped envelope with your submission.
  • The Village of Muttontown requires that the SCAR petition be filed with Nassau County and a copy of the filing with the index number be submitted to the Village no later than 30 days after Nassau County re-opens and begins accepting petitions and issuing index numbers.
