HEARING OF COMPLAINTS ON ASSESSMENT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, as Assessor of the Village, has completed the 2024/25 tentative tax assessment roll. A copy of the 2024/2025 tentative assessment roll will be filed by February 1, 2024 with the Village Clerk. It may be viewed at the Muttontown Village Hall at One ‘Raz’ Tafuro Way, in said Village and examined by any person during the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as of February 1, 2024.

On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, between the hours of  3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the Board of Assessment Review, will be present at Muttontown Village Hall at One ‘Raz’ Tafuro Way, in said Village, to hear and receive complaints in relation to any assessment in the 2024/2025 Village tax roll. The Board of Assessment Review reserves the right to continue or adjourn such hearings as provided by law.

The Treasurer will collect tax payments in person at Muttontown Village Hall, One Raz Tafuro Way, Muttontown, NY 11791 beginning June 1, 2023, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. through Monday July 3, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payments received after July 3, 2023 are subject to 5% penalty for the first month and 1% per month thereafter pursuant to Real Property Tax Law § 1432.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Incorporated Village of Muttontown will receive sealed bids for

ON-CALL VILLAGE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Such sealed bids must be filed with the Incorporated Village of Muttontown, Village Clerk, One ‘Raz’ Tafuro Way, Muttontown, New York 11791, PRIOR TO 11:00 AM, eastern standard time, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read, and the contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable.

Bidding documents are available as of this date and may ONLY be obtained in person at the Village Hall located at One ‘Raz’ Tafuro Way, Muttontown, NY 11791. Contact Joe Russo at (516) 364-3476 or jrusso@muttontownny.gov to arrange for pickup of the Bidding Documents. A fee of $100 (Check only) will be required by all bidders for a copy of the Bidding Documents. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on Thursday March 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Each Bid must be submitted with a Certified Check or a Bid Bond, sealed and attached to the exterior of your bid, payable to the Village of Muttontown, for not less than 5% of your estimated bid amount.

Federal Equal Opportunity and Labor Standards are applicable for all work performed under this contract

Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Village Clerk, Incorporated Village of Muttontown, One ‘Raz’ Tafuro Way, Muttontown, New York 11791. All bids must be sealed and submitted in a closed envelope. All bidders must complete all documents contained in the bid package. NO BID WILL BE ACCEPTED BY E-MAIL OR FACSIMILE.

Please be advised, the Incorporated Village of Muttontown reserves the absolute right to reject any and all bids. A bid or proposal submitted by a bidder who is not in full compliance with the provisions of the Village Code of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown at the time of submission will be denied. The Village will not accept bids from, nor award a contract to, any bidder who cannot prove to the satisfaction of the Village that the bidder has sufficient experience and/or is financially able and organized to successfully comply with the requirements set forth herein. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read.  In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Village Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to re-advertise for bids upon direction of the Village Board.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MUTTONTOWN LOCAL LAW 5 OF 2021 ENTITLED “LOCAL LAW ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CANNABIS LAW SECTION 131 OPTING OUT OF LICENSING AND ESTABLISHING RETAIL CANNABIS DISPENSARIES AND/OR ON-SITE CANNABIS CONSUMPTION ESTABLISHMENTS WITHIN THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF MUTTONTOWN”

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, pursuant to Article 9 of the New York State Constitution, the provisions of the Code of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown and the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, a public hearing was duly held on November 10, 2021, by the Village Board of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown on the proposed adoption of the Incorporated Village of Muttontown Local Law 5 of 2021 and, following the close of the hearing, on November 10, 2021, the Village Board duly adopted the Incorporated Village of Muttontown Local Law 5 of 2021 the purpose of which was to opt out of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the Incorporated Village of Muttontown pursuant to Cannabis Law Section 131.

This Local Law is subject to a permissive referendum if a petition for same is filed within thirty (30) days of the aforementioned legislative act. After said thirty (30) day period has expired, this Local Law shall be effective by operation of law and filed with the Secretary of State.

Sanding and removal of snow from all roads owned and maintained by the Village of Muttontown for the Winter Season
